GTA 6 Trailer 3 Update 'Splits Gamers' — Zelnick's 'Soon' Answer Frustrates Fans

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick offered only a vague 'Soon' when asked about new GTA 6 marketing at the iicon games conference, leaving fans frustrated after two major delays and months of radio silence from Rockstar.

Part 1

Gamers hate nothing more than having to wait indefinitely. Fans of Duke Nukem (if there are any left) had to wait almost 15 years to get a disastrous sequel from their blonde block-headed hero. Half-Life fans have been 21 years for Gabe to announce Half-Life 3 and the clock just keeps on ticking. Delays are forgivable if it means we get a better finished product, but Grand Theft Auto 6 fans' patience is certainly wearing thin.

Part 2

With Grand Theft Auto 6 still due to release in November 2026, everyone is getting a little nervous about the lack of reveals and/or ad campaigns. Sure, GTA 6 can sell itself without much promotion, but it's a worrying sign that perhaps yet another delay is inevitable. Surely we should have a new gameplay trailer or showcase by now? Unfortunately, Strauss Zelnick hasn't put anyone's mind at ease about the release date when asked about it at the iicon games conference.

Part 3

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, was quizzed by Variety interviewer Jenny Maas on many topics. But when the question of when fans could expect new marketing for GTA 6 to surface, the answer was disappointingly vague. Strauss only responded with a one-word answer of 'Soon'. This half-hearted response is a worry for fans and while it doesn't necessarily spell a further expected release date delay, it certainly doesn't put any minds at ease.
