Check your PC readiness

Rockstar has not announced official GTA 6 PC requirements yet. This tool is an editorial estimate based on current console targets, open-world CPU/GPU demands and likely PC-port headroom.

How this estimate works

GTA 6 is confirmed first for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but PC players are already comparing hardware for the eventual port. The checker below maps common GPU, CPU, RAM and storage tiers to a practical readiness score.

Because official PC specs are not public, the result should be treated as planning guidance rather than a guarantee. We weight GPU and CPU most heavily, then RAM and storage, because a dense Vice City and Leonida open world is likely to stress both graphics throughput and simulation performance.

An SSD is treated as a hard baseline. If you choose HDD storage, the tool caps the result at the minimum tier because modern streaming-heavy open worlds typically need fast asset delivery to avoid stutter.

Likely 1080p Low around 30 FPS

Minimum / wait for official specs

Playable only if Rockstar's PC port scales well. Plan for compromises and verify official specs before buying.

Likely 1080p/1440p Medium-High around 45–60 FPS

Recommended planning target

A balanced modern PC tier that should be a safer target for the eventual GTA 6 PC release.

Likely 1440p High / upscaling-friendly 60+ FPS

High-end headroom

A stronger target for high settings, future patches, texture packs and ray-tracing-style features if Rockstar exposes them on PC.

GTA 6 PC requirements FAQ

Are the GTA 6 PC requirements official?

No. Rockstar has not published official PC requirements. This checker is an editorial estimate for planning upgrades before the PC port is announced.

What matters most for GTA 6 on PC?

A modern GPU, a strong six-core or better CPU, at least 16–24 GB of RAM and SSD/NVMe storage are the safest planning assumptions for a dense open-world game.

Should I upgrade now or wait?

If your current PC is near the minimum tier, wait for official specs unless you also need the upgrade for other games. If you are buying anyway, target the recommended tier or better.
