The 7 Best GTA Minigames Which Need To Return In GTA 6
GAMINGbible rounds up the seven best GTA minigames across the franchise — from iconic bowling with 'Hey cousin, want to go bowling?' to casino table games — and explains why each deserves a spot in Grand Theft Auto VI set in Vice City.
The best GTA minigames are remembered for their distraction from the main story, either because of their ludicrous premise or simple addictive gameplay loop. Given how numerous they have been across the entire franchise, it is a given that GTA VI will certainly feature its own roster of minigames, with some potentially returning from earlier games.
1. Bowling (GTA IV): Perhaps the most iconic minigame from across the entire GTA series, bowling appeared in GTA IV and took on a whole identity of its own thanks to the cousin Roman memes. Bowling is pretty popular in Florida, serving as a fun air-conditioned activity in the hot weather for families and social groups to gather together, making it easy to see a few bowling alleys pop up in and around Vice City.
2. Golf (GTA V): While GTA V's minigames might not be as fondly remembered as those in earlier games, its golf minigame stood out as one of the best. With Leonida's tropical climate, there would be plenty of outdoor activities for residents of Vice City to participate in, and golf at a country club would fit right in.
3. Paramedic Missions (GTA: San Andreas): By pinching an ambulance in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, players could go on a series of paramedic missions transporting patients to the nearest hospital. Both GTA VI trailers have already teased that Leonidas State's chaotic nature will play a huge role, making these missions a natural fit for the open-world sandbox.
4. Pool (GTA IV): Another great minigame from GTA IV, pool was an excellent addition due to the banter players could have with the character they played against. The social relationship system in action made every game feel unique, and it is easy to imagine the fun banter Jason and Lucia will have playing each other at pool.
5. Triathlon (GTA V): The triathlons in GTA V were a great example of combining skydiving, powerboat, and street racing all in one. It would be exciting to see this return in GTA VI with new mixes of transportation, like adding planes and seaplanes to make the races more intense.
6. Darts (GTA IV): Darts was a pretty easy minigame to get good at, but also served as a fun distraction between missions. It would be cool to see Rockstar Games build on this feature in GTA VI with some new game types and alternate modes to spice things up.
7. Casino (GTA: San Andreas and GTA Online): Casino is a great minigame that has appeared multiple times in the GTA series due to the variety of table games available and the high potential to earn cash. Having casino minigames in GTA VI such as poker, craps, and roulette would give players a way to spend their hard-earned cash by the end of the game.
