Real-life Cluckin' Bell quietly changes name after viral debut

The real-life Cluckin' Bell that went viral earlier this year has rebranded, with the business removing part of its storefront signage and changing its company registration to The Cluckin' Bite.

Dexerto previously reported on the London-area takeaway in March after it drew attention for using branding heavily reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto's fictional Cluckin' Bell restaurant chain.

Now, Companies House records show the business changed its registered name from The Cluckin Bell LTD to The Cluckin Bite LTD on April 7, 2026.

Cluckin' Bell has appeared in a number of GTA games over the years as a parody of fast food chains. The viral attention this year brought fresh scrutiny to the real London business.

The change lines up with what people have spotted on the storefront, where the original logo has been altered, and only part of the old name remains visible, including the 'B' still seen on the front of the shop.

That leftover detail makes more sense with the company name change, suggesting the storefront may have been modified rather than completely redone.

The name change was made official by 'Special Resolution' in April 2026.

As for why the name changed, there is room for speculation, especially given the obvious overlap with Rockstar's fictional fast food chain, but there is currently no verified evidence that Rockstar or its legal representative was involved.

What is confirmed is that the business did not just quietly alter its storefront. Companies House records show The Cluckin Bell LTD was formally renamed The Cluckin Bite LTD on April 7 through a notice of name change by resolution.

Neither Rockstar nor parent company Take-Two Interactive are named on the 'Special Resolution' name change document.
