GTA 6 Trailer 3 Drops Next Week According To 'Planetary Position' Theory

Grand Theft Auto players have long theorised about every aspect of the upcoming game, but the latest theory about its third trailer is frankly impressive in its scope.

GTA VI's third trailer is expected to drop soon, as publisher Take-Two Interactive has another earnings call scheduled for the end of May. Previous reports stated that the marketing campaign for GTA 6 would begin in May as we inch closer to the November 19 release date.

Marketing is likely going to kick off with that third trailer, and one fan reckons the planets themselves may hold the answer to when we'll see it.

As spotted by Dexerto, Reddit user JalapenoPoppers24 took theorising to another level when they 'spent three months charting the planetary positions for every Rockstar trailer drop since 2007.' They used this charting to predict that the third trailer for GTA VI will drop on May 14, so fans are marking their calendars.

They went into intense detail on why this has to be the case, before signing off with: 'It's also exactly one week and one day after the GTA 6 Trailer 2 anniversary, AND it falls on the same calendar day as GTA V Trailer 2, which Rockstar pushed from November 2 to November 14 in 2012.' They added: 'Setting a calendar reminder. If T3 drops on May 14 at 11AM EDT I want to be remembered.'

Out of all the GTA 6 theories seen so far, this one is undoubtedly the most impressive, and even if it's an elaborate bit, a lot of work has clearly gone into it. Other Grand Theft Auto fans loved it too, with one saying: 'This might be the best post on this sub.'

If the third trailer does indeed drop on May 14, this will go down in history as one of the best predictions gaming has ever seen. With Rockstar Games, the studio has never given fans forewarning when it decides to drop a trailer — it simply drops one at random.

The third trailer will ultimately serve a bigger purpose, as it should answer two burning questions. The first is confirmation the game will launch on November 19, as Rockstar hasn't said otherwise, though former Rockstar employees have commented on the time crunch the team is under. The second question fans hope it answers is when pre-orders will go live. With the game launching on November 19, pre-orders should be expected to open soon — and the digital storefronts will probably crash from the sheer number of gamers placing orders.
