Rockstar Is Hiring a Billboard Artist as GTA 6 Marketing Appears to Be Heating Up
Rockstar Games has posted a LinkedIn job ad for a Production Artist to create marketing materials, including large-format billboards — suggesting the publisher is actively building its GTA 6 marketing team ahead of the November 19 release.
Rockstar Games appears to be ramping up its marketing push for GTA 6. A new LinkedIn job posting, first spotted by the Portuguese outlet Portal Viciados on May 1, 2026, reveals the studio is seeking a Production Artist for its Creative Services Team in New York City.
The role focuses on creating both digital and print advertising materials. Responsibilities include designing content for social media, websites, and other online channels, as well as Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising — the category that covers large-format billboards and wall murals in urban environments.
While Rockstar almost certainly already has an internal marketing team working on GTA 6's November 19 launch, the posting indicates the studio is expanding its creative bench as the release window draws closer.
With approximately six months until launch, it is possible the new Production Artist will primarily work on materials targeting the post-launch period. However, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently told Game File that the marketing campaign would begin 'soon', suggesting the push is imminent.
Fans have yet to see any major GTA 6 Out-of-Home advertising — the large city-center billboards that typically accompany major game launches. The job posting suggests that could change in the coming months, as Rockstar prepares to roll out its biggest marketing offensive yet.
The timing of the hiring also aligns with what has become a familiar pattern ahead of Take-Two earnings calls. The company's next quarterly results call is scheduled for May 21, 2026. In previous cycles, Rockstar has released new GTA 6 trailers just before such investor-facing events to reinforce confidence in the title's schedule.
Meanwhile, CEO Zelnick has already addressed one aspect of GTA 6's commercial presentation. Speaking to IGN, he confirmed that players will not encounter real-world brands inside the game. Instead, the game will feature Rockstar's signature fictional brands — the food products, car manufacturers, and consumer goods brands that have been a hallmark of the GTA series for decades.
The billboard artist hiring marks the second known Rockstar job listing related to GTA 6 marketing in recent weeks, following a separate posting for a Screenshot Capture Artist role. Together, they signal that Rockstar is moving from the quiet pre-launch phase into active marketing preparation.
