GTA 6 Officially Delayed to November 19, 2026 — Rockstar Announces New Release Date
Rockstar Games has officially delayed Grand Theft Auto VI from May to November 2026, citing the need for additional time to polish the game.
Rockstar Games confirmed via the official Rockstar Wire blog that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19, 2026. The previous date of May 26, 2026 was pushed back to, in the company's words, "give the team more time to bring the game to the level of quality it needs to meet our standards."
This is already the second release date delay: Rockstar initially planned to release GTA 6 in 2025, then pushed the release to May 2026, and now — to November 2026. Despite the delays, the game will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version rumored to arrive in 2027.
Rockstar apologized to fans and promised to share more details in the coming months. Trailer 3 is expected to potentially drop as early as April 2026 — indicated by unusual Rockstar activity on social media and the company's event schedule.
