GTA 6 Delay: Three Fears Are Heating Up Again
As Grand Theft Auto VI approaches its November 2026 release date, fans are growing increasingly anxious about the possibility of a third delay. With the May 15 Take-Two earnings call on the horizon, the community is closely watching for any signs of trouble — while remaining hopeful that Rockstar will deliver on its current schedule.
The anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI has reached a fever pitch, with millions of players worldwide waiting to see what the next installment in Rockstar's legendary franchise will deliver. However, two official delays have already pushed the release from 2025 to November 19, 2026, and fan nerves are showing no signs of settling.
A recent post on Twitter/X by user Synth Potato captured the mood perfectly: "I really hope GTA 6 doesn't get delayed into 2027. We're almost at the 6 months until release mark, AGAIN. So a delay announcement would have to be around the corner OR it'll be Trailer 3 and a final confirmation for the date, I hope it's the latter. We can't take another delay."
The next major milestone for the community is May 15, when Take-Two Interactive is scheduled to host its next earnings call — the same format that previously delivered news of both delays. If the date passes without incident, fans expect Trailer 3 to arrive in early summer, followed by a full marketing blitz and pre-order availability.
Despite the anxiety, the fan community remains cautiously optimistic. One commenter wrote: "If you've paid attention to Rockstar's way of marketing their games… This last delay is 99.9% the final one… If there's another one, then there's a serious problem going on in the camp of Rockstar." Another noted: "We've never been in the 'last 6 months' before, so if May comes without delays, this would be the closest we've ever been."
