Finding reliable information about what GTA 6 often feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. Rockstar has remained characteristically silent, revealing very little beyond the two trailers, the screenshots of various cities, and the characters in the game.
That’s why players are intrigued when unexpected details surfaced not from an announcement, but from court documents. When legal paperwork is the one shedding light on gameplay features, it naturally grabs the attention of a community desperate for concrete information.
The information is coming from the legal trouble Rockstar has found itself in. The court evidence is tied to an ongoing lawsuit, where internal Discord messages were submitted as “confidential material” (via People Make Games).
Within those messages, employees were found discussing the difficulty of organizing a 32-player test session for an unannounced online service currently in development. Rockstar described this information as highly sensitive.
They mentioned that this is particularly revealing because it mentions the exact number of players planned for that service. While the documents never explicitly say that the feature is for the GTA 6 Online, the context strongly suggests it is either GTA 6’s online mode or something new.
If its not GTA Online, it must be tied to something different for the new game. Interestingly, GTA 5 Online already supports 32-player lobbies (30 active players plus spectators), meaning this feature wouldn’t be a major change.
Still, this early confirmation shows that a large-scale online component is planned, even if Rockstar hasn’t acknowledged it publicly.
Beyond this possible online feature, concrete information about GTA 6 remains extremely limited. Most of what fans hear revolves around rumored delays, internal development challenges, and speculation. However, much of these imformations are rumors.
