The GTAVIOclock podcast has taken to social media to clarify that they have been 'misquoted' after claiming to be '96% confident' that GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. The hosts stressed that only Rockstar Games and Take-Two know the final release date for certain.
Part 1
The GTAVIOclock podcast, a well-known source for Grand Theft Auto news that has provided accurate information on GTA titles over the years and regularly interacted with Rockstar Games for GTA Online streams, has responded after being 'misquoted' by fans and social media users regarding the GTA 6 release date.
Part 2
During their April 22 episode, the hosts stated that they were 'supremely confident' in the November 19, 2026 release date, raising their level of confidence to '96%'. They noted there remains approximately a 'one in 20 chance' that 'something blowing Rockstar off course' could affect the launch date, but their overall confidence in the November release had grown significantly.
Part 3
However, this quote was quickly picked up and spread across social media without the full context. Many users reported that the release date was effectively confirmed and locked in, ignoring the small but meaningful margin of uncertainty the hosts had explicitly stated.
