GTA 6 Final Push: Rockstar India Staff Reportedly Working Until 3AM Amid Crunch

A Glassdoor review from a Rockstar India employee and an Indeed review from the company's New York office have reignited concerns about crunch culture at Rockstar as the studio races toward the November 2026 GTA 6 launch. An insider known as Kiwi Talkz confirmed the reports, while 80.lv examines what this means for the development community.

Part 1

As Rockstar Games enters the final stretch of GTA 6 development, reports of intense crunch have resurfaced — and this time, they are coming from inside the studio itself. A Glassdoor review from a Rockstar India employee, based in Bangalore, claims that staff are being required to work unpaid overtime, with some shifts extending until 3 AM to meet the November 19, 2026 deadline.

Part 2

The review, first highlighted by insider Kiwi Talkz, describes a schedule that has been "hectic since last month." When asked to confirm the claims, Kiwi Talkz replied: "What you call crunch is just normal day-to-day work in India, so 100% yes." The insider, who visits Rockstar Bangalore regularly and says he knows people at the studio, added that India is "not known for work-life balance" and that the reported conditions are consistent with what he has observed firsthand.

Part 3

The Glassdoor review is not an isolated incident. An Indeed review from March 2026, this time from Rockstar's New York office in the United States, independently describes a "crunch micromanaging culture" at the studio. Taken together, the reviews paint a picture of a company under significant pressure as it races to deliver what is widely expected to be the most commercially successful entertainment product in history.
