GTA 6 Nintendo Switch 2 Port: Blogger Claims Insider Bet Over May Announcement Deadline
A prominent gaming blogger says a Rockstar insider has confirmed GTA 6 is in development for Nintendo Switch 2, and placed a bet that the announcement will come before the start of May 2026.
Key update
Will GTA VI appear on the Nintendo console? Insiders are increasingly claiming that the game will be released on Switch 2. Back in November last year, rumors began to circulate that Rockstar Games was exploring the possibilities of the new hybrid platform.
Why it matters
And although launching a blockbuster on a portable device sounds like science fiction, the topic continues to gain momentum.
What to watch
Blogger KiwiTalkz reported that his reliable source, who has repeatedly been proven right in the past, insists that GTA 6 is indeed being developed for Nintendo Switch 2. The situation has gone so far that the author even made a bet with the informant. If Rockstar announces a version for Switch 2 before the beginning of May, the blogger will lose and pay for a luxurious dinner for his opponent.
Context
KiwiTalkz quote: 'Tickets to India for June are already booked! It looks like everything is going to work out so that I win this fancy dinner from my Rockstar informant, where we will discuss GTA VI on Switch 2. My source has been saying for months that the game will appear on the day the console is released. I thought it was complete nonsense and challenged him, but he doubled the bet. Rockstar has until the beginning of May to announce a version for Switch 2, otherwise I win. I'll definitely post a photo from dinner, lol.'
Bottom line
Supporters of the theory believe that if the game is able to run on the Xbox Series S, then with proper optimization it can also look into the new franchise from Nintendo.
