GTA 6 Map: Every Confirmed and Leaked Location in Leonida So Far
A complete breakdown of every confirmed and leaked location in GTA 6's massive Leonida map, from the neon-soaked streets of Vice City to the untamed Grassrivers swamps.
Key update
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on November 19, 2026, and while Rockstar Games keeps many details under wraps, the map of Leonida has become one of the most discussed aspects of the upcoming title. Drawing heavy inspiration from Florida, the state of Leonida promises to be Rockstar's largest and most diverse open world yet.
Why it matters
The centerpiece of Leonida is the return of Vice City. This iconic location is expected to be the standout area of GTA 6, blending glamour, hustle, and a vibrant nightlife. From the white sands of Ocean Beach to sprawling sports arenas, Vice City offers no shortage of pleasure activities. However, it is after dark when the city truly comes alive, with its neon-drenched streets and underground criminal networks.
What to watch
Beyond the city limits lies Grassrivers, a region inspired by the real-life Florida Everglades. This swampy and untamed jewel of Leonida is known for its alligator-infested waters, dense mangroves, and hidden airboat routes. Based on trailers and screenshots, Grassrivers also appears to be a playground for off-road enthusiasts, with monster trucks and dirt bikes tearing through the muddy terrain.
Context
Leonida Keys takes direct inspiration from the Florida Keys. This tropical archipelago consists of several islands located off the southern coast of Leonida. On the surface, these islands are filled with beach bars and cater to anyone seeking a laid-back getaway. Beneath the vacation veneer, however, bustling neighborhoods and shadowy dealings suggest that even paradise has its underbelly.
Bottom line
Port Gellhorn represents the forgotten coast of Leonida. Once a top-tier tourist destination, the area has fallen into decay and is now defined by cheap motels, abandoned boardwalks, and a pervasive sense of neglect. Despite its decline, Port Gellhorn is far from lifeless. Fueled by liquor, painkillers, and energy drinks, the region is a hotbed for petty crime and illicit trade.
Update 6
Mount Kalaga sits along the northern borders of Leonida and serves as a national park filled with canyons, forests, and winding trails. For adventurers, the region offers outdoor activities such as hunting, kayaking, and off-road biking. The natural beauty of Mount Kalaga provides a stark contrast to the urban chaos of Vice City.
Update 7
Ambrosia is situated in the heart of Leonida and functions as a central hub connecting various regions. However, the area is controlled by a local biker gang that has taken law and order into its own hands. From what has been shown so far, Ambrosia will likely feature intense gang-related missions and territorial disputes.
Update 8
In addition to the six major locations confirmed by Rockstar, the GTA 6 mapping project — a fan-driven initiative compiling data from leaks and official media — has identified several other landmarks. These include small towns, highway rest stops, and rural outposts that add layers of realism to the world. It is important to note that Rockstar has not officially confirmed these leaked landmarks.
Update 9
GTA 6 has faced numerous leaks even before its official reveal. Back in 2022, a major hack exposed early development footage, and since then, fans have meticulously pieced together the map. While leaks should always be treated with caution, the consistency across multiple sources suggests that the final map will be significantly larger and more detailed than any previous Rockstar title.
Update 10
When it launches on November 19, 2026, GTA 6 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC release date has not yet been announced, following Rockstar's traditional console-first strategy. The game will feature two protagonists: Lucia, the first female main character in the series, and her partner Jason. With Leonida shaping up to be a world of unprecedented scale, the wait for GTA 6 continues to build anticipation.
