GTA 6 Former Dev Issues Key Warning Ahead of Trailer 3 Drop
A former GTA VI artist David O'Reilly, who worked at Rockstar Games between 2011 and 2023, has warned fans that the upcoming third trailer may not reflect the final quality of the game.
Key update
As trailer 3 becomes an imminent possibility, a former GTA VI artist has warned fans about their expectations. Theories about GTA VI trailer 3's release date range from in the coming weeks to all the way ahead in September, but one former Rockstar Games developer has got something to say about it.
Why it matters
Former GTA VI artist David O'Reilly, who was an environmental artist at Rockstar between 2011 and 2023, has spoken publicly about the alleged upcoming third trailer for the game. Speaking on an episode of the Kiwi Talkz podcast (via GamesRadar), O'Reilly said: "I can't wait for the next trailer too, all that stuff I have no idea about, the characterization, seeing that city all fleshed out so much more than when I'd last wandered it."
What to watch
However, he also issued a warning to GTA VI hopefuls regarding the content of the trailer, explaining how marketing material is hyper-focused on the details that are finely polished. "When you make a trailer, they look at where the camera's going to be, and that view is getting madly polished. Whereas everything that's not in that view is not getting madly polished yet. The whole world doesn't look like that. You focus on the areas of the trailer."
Context
