FAQ: The PS5 Pro Has Been Waiting 19 Months for GTA 6 to Justify Its Existence

Should I buy a PS5 Pro for GTA 6?

It is too early to recommend buying a PS5 Pro specifically for GTA 6. If 60fps performance matters and you do not already own a PS5, the Pro is logical. If you own a base PS5, wait for confirmed performance details.

Will GTA 6 run at 60fps on PS5 Pro?

Rockstar has not confirmed frame rate targets. Based on hardware capabilities, the PS5 Pro could potentially achieve 60fps using PSSR upscaling, but this remains speculation.

Why did Sony delay the PS6?

Reports suggest Sony delayed the PlayStation 6 partly because of GTA 6. The company wants GTA 6 to be the PS5 generation's defining title rather than a cross-generational game.

Will GTA 6 be on PC at launch?

No. GTA 6 launches exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC port is expected later but no timeline has been announced.
