FAQ: GTA 6 PS5 Exclusive Content Essentially Confirmed As Xbox Users To Miss Out

What exclusive deal has been confirmed for GTA VI and PlayStation 5?

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that an exclusive marketing deal has been agreed with Sony PlayStation for GTA VI. This means PlayStation 5 players may get exclusive bonuses, bundles, and promotional content that Xbox users will miss out on.

Will GTA VI have exclusive DLC for PlayStation?

Exclusive DLC is considered unlikely by industry analysts. If any DLC exclusivity happens, it will most likely be a timed deal rather than a permanent exclusive. Early access of a few days on PlayStation is also ruled out by most observers.

How does this compare to past Rockstar PlayStation deals?

When GTA Online launched as a standalone on PlayStation 5, it was free for the first few months and included free in-game currency. A similar promotional strategy for GTA VI's online component could give PlayStation players a tangible advantage at launch.

When does GTA VI launch?

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not been officially confirmed yet.
