FAQ: GTA 6 Phishing Scams Flood the Internet as Fake Early Access Links Spread Malware

Are there real GTA 6 early access downloads available?

No. Rockstar Games has not released any early access builds of GTA 6. Any email, link, or download claiming to offer early access to the game is a scam. The game launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

How can I spot a GTA 6 phishing scam?

Look for unsolicited emails offering early access, downloads from unofficial sources, and urgency tactics like 'limited time offer.' Rockstar communicates through official channels only — their Newswire, verified social media accounts, and the Rockstar Games Launcher.

What should I do if I downloaded a fake GTA 6 file?

Run a full antivirus scan immediately, change passwords for any accounts that may have been compromised, and monitor your accounts for suspicious activity. Consider reinstalling your operating system if the infection is severe.
