FAQ: GTA 6 Developers Dismiss Recent Rumors Surrounding Delay

What rumors did Rockstar developers dismiss?

They dismissed claims that GTA 6 was delayed because its saving and loading system was broken — calling it 'ridiculous nonsense' with no basis in reality.

Is GTA 6's engine a complete rebuild?

No. Developers confirmed that the RAGE engine in GTA 6 builds on the work done for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 — it is an iteration, not a full rebuild.

When is GTA 6 officially releasing?

GTA 6 is officially scheduled to release on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Where did the false rumors originate?

A gossip site made the claim without evidence, and it was amplified by clickbait social media accounts known for spreading misinformation.
